Five days until Christmas, and the UK government, via Pravda-esque media (Figure 149.1), spouts ever more lies which should insult the intelligence of not just experienced scientists, but of all thinking individuals. Alas, given that propaganda is meticulously constructed to appeal to emotion not reason, thinking does not enter into it.

This week, increasing public scepticism has been countered with the announcement of a new strain of coronavirus which is, supposedly, 70% more transmissible than its predecessor. This might well be true; but such a specific figure would be impossible to determine so soon. True to form, the government has not allowed its calculations to be peer-reviewed. I wonder why not. This melodramatic statement is not, therefore, to inform and educate, but to mislead and perpetuate public fear.
The whole truth is this: all viruses are subject to a Darwinian evolutionary selection pressure not to kill the host. If the host dies, then the viruses within the host’s cells, being obligate parasites, die, too. Therefore, as viruses mutate and subsequently evolve, transmissibility increases, but lethality decreases. Viruses do not have ‘waves’. Even the oft-cited Spanish flu (1918-9) – a true pandemic? – did not have ‘waves’, but involved several infectious agents, some viral, others bacterial. Recent increases in the number of (incorrectly-named) ‘cases’ are largely a consequence of previous lockdowns and vastly increased testing (with a 90%+ false-positive rate). The survival rate remains between 99.8 and 99.9%; and yet, all social and economic life has been systematically destroyed in an unprecedented manner. Why? Hong Kong flu (1968-9), for instance, was far more deadly, but life, sensibly, continued as normal.
Yet another lie is the propagandized myth of asymptomatic transmission. While theoretically possible, and hence giving credence to the notion, it does not occur, as the viral load of an asymptomatic carrier is nowhere near sufficient to cross-infect. This is an example of ‘lying without actually lying’.
It should now be clear to everyone that the staged reaction to ‘COVID’ is a means to an end. That end, however, is neither the eradication of coronaviruses, which would be impossible, nor to save lives, because more deaths have occurred as a result of withdrawn medical care than of extra acute respiratory illness.
It is tempting to conclude that the ulterior end is universal vaccination. This, however, takes us only partway down the COVID rabbit hole. To date, vaccine manufacturers have admitted that their novel vaccines will not prevent viral transmission, but, at best, reduce symptoms for a short period.
Why, then, is mass vaccination being pushed and propagandized so relentlessly, particularly given the ultra-low infection fatality rate? One obvious reason is the potential vast profit for Big Pharma. The other is more insidious still. Personal ‘vaccination status’, stored via digital identification (see ‘ID2020’), is being pursued to render individual liberty conditional (which is surely an oxymoron). Only those with the prescribed vaccination status, digitally monitored by the State, would be permitted to live a normal life. This should disgust every sane and decent human being.
Of course, the scope for digital ID would not stop at medical data. It could be used in conjunction with the monitoring of financial status and just about everything else. Digital (crypto-) currencies are about to replace cash. This will probably happen within five years. As I mentioned in Article 134, the two possible alternatives to cash are bitcoin (decentralized, secure, verifiable and of fixed supply) or a central bank digital currency (CBDC), which would be subject to centralized State control and the whims of corrupt bankers. If the latter wins the day, then all future monetary transactions could be monitored, controlled, taxed, and even terminated, by Big Brother. The freedom that comes with an independent medium of exchange would be lost forever.
I have warned against this outcome in several articles throughout the past few years. Nothing I have learned in the meantime has made me doubt those original haunting conclusions. Humanity is being deviously shepherded through the gates of a digital gulag, and millions of innocents, including some of my own loved ones, seem oblivious to where they are being blindly led (Figure 149.2).

My use of the term ‘gulag’ is not born of either laziness or hyperbole. It is quite apt. One of the most powerful books I have ever read is The Gulag Archipelago by the Russian writer and political prisoner, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008) (Figure 149.3). Its immense power stems from the fact that it is non-fiction.
